Engines and performance

Buyers from Kingman and Lake Havasu City, AZ can choose either of two formidable engines, one gasoline-powered and one diesel. The standard powertrain is a hard-working 6.4-liter gas-fired V8 engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission and 410 horsepower as well as 429 pound-feet of torque. If you really want some serious muscle, get the available turbodiesel engine with 370 horsepower, 850 pound-feet of torque and a six-speed automatic. 

Towing and payload capacity

A new Ram 3500 Super Duty truck with the 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel engine gives you a towing capacity of up to 22,230 pounds and a maximum payload of 6,400 pounds. The most powerful Ram 3500 turbodiesel can deliver 37,090 pounds of maximum towing and haul a payload of up to 7,680 pounds. If we don't have one in stock, we can help you order one. With the V8 gas engine, towing capacity is still formidable at up to 15,130 pounds.

Cab and bed configurations

The big Ram 3500 Super Duty truck gives you a variety of cab and bed choices. On the base Tradesman model there's a single-row regular cab available that comes with an 8-foot bed. A two-row crew cab is another option with either an 8-foot-long bed or a 6-foot-4-inch version. Every other trim level gives you a mega cab which consists of two rows of seating and more legroom in the second row. In that variation, the box in the back is 6-feet-4-inches long.

Interior room and cargo space

The new 2023 Ram 3500 Super Duty truck gives you up to 40.9 inches of legroom in the front row and 43.1 inches of legroom in the rear. That's more rear legroom than the Ford F-350 SuperCab. In the back, the Ram 3500's 6-foot-4-inch bed can carry as much as 57.5 cubic feet of cargo and the 8-foot variation can give you as much as 74.7 cubic feet of space.

Technology

At the base level, the Tradesman model gives you a 5-inch touch screen and Bluetooth connectivity. Every other trim comes with a sizeable 12.0-inch tablet-style entertainment display that manages Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™ and an intuitive UConnect 5 infotainment software system. The standard stereo system comes with four speakers but you can upgrade to a 17-speaker alternative. A 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster is now available for 2023 and so is a digital rearview mirror.

Safety features
