Performance
Kingman drivers can look forward to a diverse range of engine options with the new Jeep Wrangler. The base engine that comes with the Wrangler is a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The Wrangler can also be had with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine that makes 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The Wrangler offers up two transmission options, as well. In its most basic configuration, the Wrangler comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. There's also an optional 8-speed automatic transmission that can be had. If more power is needed, then there's a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel V6 engine that makes 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. The Rubicon trim manages an even more powerful engine, which is a 6.4-liter V8 that makes 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The Wrangler 4xe engine boasts 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. Part-time all-wheel drive is standard while full-time all-wheel drive is an optional upgrade. The Rubicon and Rubicon 392 trims are the most performance-forward version of the Wrangler thanks to a long list of performance features. The Rubicon comes with all-terrain tires, heavy-duty front/rear axles, 4:1 low-range gearing, electronic locking front/rear differentials, off-road drive modes, and an electronic disconnecting stabilizer bar. If you're looking for the most capable version of the Wrangler, then there's the Rubicon 392. The Rubicon 392 comes with high performance brakes, a 2-inch suspension lift, fox shock absorbers, and a V8 engine. There's an optional Xtreme Recon package that allows for 35-inch tires to added along with 4.56:1 axle gearing, and a 1.5-inch suspension lift.
